I'm a sucker for dogs - sleeping or awake - and I am humbled by their show of unconditional love. This is Boo, when she was about 3 months old...
She's older and larger now, and sleeps a lot. In fact, she loves to sleep in the sun filtering into my studio windows - hence the inspiration for the studio name...thanks, Boo!
I am a brat of the United States Air Force and had the great fortune of travelling to many places overseas - some I remember from experience and many from the thousands of pictures mom and dad took, but all are fond memories. As kids, my sisters and I often had to resort to our own creativity for entertainment.
At 50, I've been a teacher, a programmer, a furniture designer, a house builder, a sailor, a diver, and a youth worker. In all these facets of my life, I have created stuff - on canvas, on paper, on whiteboards, in wood and metal. Today, I have begun to reach back to my roots in art - skills I vaguely recall my mom shaping.
My visual tastes are varied: my strength is my drawing, I yearn to paint better, and I am drawn, like the luna moths flitting their love dance around our outside lights, to computer-generated graphics. As I explore these territories, the results will filter their way to the pages of this site - may they evoke as much emotion in you as they do in inspiring my own spirit.
